WHERE BIODIVERSITY IS REBORN
© 2020 C.FISC. 97871390155 - VAT 13672380964
The photographic exhibition on our project arrives in Milan in a context of profound social significance.
After the exhibition in Cevo in Valle Camonica, the exhibition Where Biodiversity is Reborn was kindly made available by the Adamello Regional Park in favor of the association Comitato Quartieri Case Popolari Calvairate-Molise-Ponti of Milan.
The ‘Comitato’ seized this opportunity to organize a self-funding initiative around it. The re-presentation in the Lombard capital of the shots exhibited in Cevo will in fact be an opportunity to also show visitors six of the seven black and white nature prints from the series Adamas. The six photos, donated to the Committee by one of its supporting members, will be auctioned online on eBay to raise funds to support its numerous activities: help desks for tenants, after-school programs, anti-waste solidarity shop, language and computer courses, educational garden, and library. Different forms of commitment that for over thirty years have seen the association and its volunteers active in the protection and enhancement of the inhabitants of the eastern outskirts of Milan, with whom they build daily paths of autonomy and integration.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday, October 9 and will be open until Sunday, October 17 at the Coop socio-cultural space on via Freiköfel 7, where the Coop Piazza Lodi-Rogoredo Members' Committee, always sensitive to initiatives involving environmental, cultural, and social aspects, enthusiastically agreed to host it. The initiative's partner: the Calvairate-Molise-Ponti Committee The Tenants' Committee has been a daily presence for over 30 years in the public housing neighborhoods of Molise-Calvairate-Ponti in Milan. Its aim is to protect the residents and promote the resources present in its neighborhoods, fostering paths to autonomy and, for foreigners, integration. Since 2018, it has become a volunteer organization recognized by the Lombardy Region. Several activities promoted by the Committee, hosted at the main office on via degli Etruschi 1, have now become historic: after-school programs for elementary, middle, and high school students, the housing and maintenance help desk and the legal assistance desk, Italian, English, and computer courses, and the Arabic school. These are joined by more recent initiatives: the organization of a library of about 3,000 volumes, the “Bottega Popolare” – an anti-waste and solidarity market that offers food support to families in need – and the Educational Garden for the ecological education of children and young people. The Committee's activities are made possible thanks to public and private funding but above all thanks to the support of many volunteers who make them possible.
For more information:
The inauguration will take place on Sunday, October 9 at 4:30 pm. The exhibition opening hours will be: from 10 am to 12 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm.
