This educational proposal, consisting of two modules, allows students to address ecosystem topics from a scientific perspective. The Carvignone nature trail, with its educational stations, can offer significant insights for an introductory journey into ecology, biology, and the importance of biodiversity conservation. Educational materials (see the guide to recognizing species observable at Carvignone) and technological equipment (such as microscopes and digital photographic equipment) are made available to students to make observations increasingly interesting and engaging.
Module I
During the visit to the Carvignone nature trail, students will participate in recognizing signs of the presence of animal and plant life forms and will deepen their understanding of the fundamentals of ecology through naturalistic observations.
The experience will continue with a laboratory structured in two phases: a first activity of observation and data collection in the field, conducted according to a true scientific method, and a second phase of analysis under the microscope. In this way, students will be able to explore more closely what they initially observed at the macroscopic level, discovering the microscopic world that animates natural environments.
DURATION: 1 day
Module II
The life of trees and plants is the basis of food chains and supports the presence of many other life forms. Through direct observations and data collection activities in nature, students will explore the plant world as a fundamental element of ecosystems. Field observations will be deepened in the laboratory with practical activities that will allow them to fully understand how plants function, understanding the adaptive strategies that allow them to thrive in different environments.
«Plants do not move, do not make noise, do not seem to act. Yet, they are among the most efficient organisms on the planet.»
DURATION: 1 day
The cost for each module is 220.00 euros
For schools in municipalities within the perimeter of the Adamello Park the contribution is 80%; for schools in municipalities within the Valle Camonica - Alto Sebino Biosphere Reserve it is 40%; 20% for all others.
